About us
Who am I and what is this blog about?
Hi! My name is Cam and I have been living abroad since 2022. Since then, I’ve lucky enough to travel to destinations I only dreamed of when I was a kid.
I thought that starting this blog would be a good way of sharing my own personal travel stories, mixed with travel tips to help people on their own journeys.
In 2022, I moved to Australia for 1 year to complete my Bachelors degree. During that time, I took my first solo trip to Asia for 3 months (Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong) and it wasn’t long before I knew that travelling was something I wanted to do as continuously as possible.
After finishing my degree, I decided to keep the ball rolling by staying in Australia to save more money and plan the next trip.
Long story short, I spent another amazing year in Australia doing rugged farm work in Queensland and landing a construction job in Sydney. As much as I enjoyed my time in Australia, the main goal was to save money and travel for as long as I could.
In June 2024 I took my next trip for 6 months, travelling to Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China.
Why am I doing this?
I want to develop my skills within the blogging and digital marketing industry, allowing me to provide as much travel information about the travel world as possible. I’m learning to work in the digital marketing industry and this blog will help me progress in my career.
Things I do in my spare time:
Besides travelling and eating new food, I love video editing and colour grading. I create cinematic styled travel videos, capturing nature, bustling cities and stuff I get up to on my trip. It’s something that I hope one day opens up many more doors as I’d love to produce short documentaries in the locations I travel to.
I used to play basketball but it has now became more of a hobby, something I wish I had more time to play but it’s hard when you’re not staying on one place for a long period of time. I like to “attempt” to learn languages but finding the time has been difficult, however, in 2025 I’m going to try my hardest to stay consistent.
